Deanston – 12 Year Old (70cl, 46.3%)

This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Deanston, in a 70cl bottle at 46.3% ABV. The distillery was founded in 1965 on the site of a converted cotton mill, and its spirit is made with a very long fermentation of between 50 and over 90 hours, followed by slow distillation. The whisky is typically described as smooth and creamy, with a sweetness, hints of fruit, malty honeyed spice and soft vanilla. It finishes with a tingle of cloves.
