Deanston Virgin Oak Cask Strength 2023 Edition is a Highland single malt, Batch 1 of a limited edition, bottled at 58.5% in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured entirely in fresh virgin oak casks and bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The spirit is double distilled in copper stills, using water from the River Teith.
The nose is robust, with oak, vanilla cream and candied fruit. The palate shows cream caramel, heather honey, green apple and the waxy character associated with Deanston. The finish is long and warm, with spice from the virgin oak and a sweetness of honey.
