This is an 18 year old Tomatin single malt, bottled by Decadent Drams as The Teuchter and released at natural strength.
Batch 3 comes from the same whisky as Batch 1, but it has been matured for longer. The extra time gives a more pronounced Sherry cask character.
The nose and palate bring dark fruit such as plums, jam and cordial, with honeyed notes and a faint mead-like warmth. Softer aromas of Armagnac, cedar, pine and a little camphor follow. The palate is smooth and rich, and the medium-length finish sets sweet, jammy richness against drying wood and spice.
