Dewar's Japanese Smooth is an eight-year-old blended Scotch whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
After its first maturation, the whisky is finished in Mizunara oak casks. Mizunara is a Japanese oak, and it is associated with delicate floral, sandalwood and spice character.
On the palate it is smooth and mellow, with honey, vanilla and ripe orchard fruit, then gentle sandalwood, coconut, toasted oak and warming spice. A touch of citrus and soft malt run through it, and the finish is long, with subtle sweetness and delicate spice.
