Dingle – Bealtaine Wheel of the Year Series Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey (70cl, 52.5%)

Bealtaine is the third release in the Wheel of the Year Series from Dingle Distillery in Ireland. It is a single pot still Irish whiskey made from malted and unmalted barley, bottled in 2023 as a limited edition at 52.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The whiskey matured first in first fill Bourbon casks and was then finished in first fill Shiraz casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. Tasting notes mention red berries, ripe fruit, vanilla, spice and a light winey fruitiness on the nose. The palate is full and spicy, with dark fruit, caramel, malt, berries and dry oak. The finish is long and warming, with fruit, spice and gently dry wine-cask notes.
