Dingle Cónocht an Earraigh Single Malt Cabernet Sauvignon - Wheel of the Year Series (70cl, 50.5%)

Cónocht an Earraigh is a triple-distilled Irish single malt from Dingle, the sixth bottling in its Wheel of the Year series. The name marks the spring equinox, and the series runs to nine releases drawn from the Celtic year and Wren's Day. The whiskey matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then had an extended finish in Cabernet Sauvignon casks. It is bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour, and is limited to 3,000 bottles. The nose has ripe plums and blackberries with icing sugar, toasted almonds and muscovado. The palate brings red fruit, gentle spice, gingerbread, fruit tart and toffee with dark syrup. In the finish, sweet fruit and dry tannins stay in balance.
