This is the fourth release in Dingle Distillery's Wheel of the Year series, an Irish single malt bottled in 2023 at 50.5% ABV. The outturn was 10,000 bottles.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in rye whiskey barrels, a finish that adds spice, warmth and structure.
The nose brings honey, citrus oil, soft vanilla and warm spices with a light rye note. The palate is full and spicy, with rye spice, vanilla, toffee, malt, pepper, citrus and subtle wood. The finish is long, warm and spicy, with a rye kick over a creamy bourbon base.
