An Irish single malt from Dingle, triple distilled, matured first in first-fill bourbon casks and then finished in bourbon casks from Widow Jane in Brooklyn. It is bottled at 50.5% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour.
Lúnasa is the fourth release in the nine-part Wheel of the Year series, named for the Irish festival marking the start of harvest in August. It came out on 1 August 2023 in a run of 10,000 bottles.
Ripe red berries, salted caramel, lemonade and buttery fudge on the nose. Barley sugar sweetness leads the palate, with gentle spice, dark chocolate and raspberry. Ginger and spice bring lasting warmth to the finish, with dark fruit and caramel.
