Distillerie du Gorvello Poiré de Bretagne Clos Saint André

This is a Breton perry from Distillerie du Gorvello, made from pears grown in Brittany's orchards and handled by traditional methods. It is a lightly alcoholic drink with a gentle sparkle. The oceanic climate suits aromatic pears, and the fruit is carefully selected before pressing. Served well chilled, at around 6 to 8°C, it suits crêpes, desserts and some cheeses, or an aperitif. The nose is fresh pear with floral and lightly sweet touches. The palate is lively, with pear flavour, a light fizz and a fluid texture that balances sweetness and acidity. The finish is light, fruity and slightly floral.
