Domaine Badoz Cuvée Edouard Savagnin 2020 (75cl, 13.5%)

Cuvée Edouard is a 2020 white wine from Domaine Badoz in the Jura, regarded by the family as the flagship of the house. It is organic and made entirely from Savagnin. The grapes come from old vines in the estate's finest parcel, the lieu-dit Les Grands Roussots, and the wine is aged in cask. It is pale, bright gold, with ripe white fruit, citrus and gentle spice on the nose, along with toasted notes from the cask. The palate is complex and deep, lightly floral and toasty, with fresh acidity running through it. The finish is dry, harmonious and persistent.
