Don Q Double Aged Vermouth Cask Finish is an aged rum from Puerto Rico, made as a blend of rums first matured for 5 to 8 years in American white oak barrels.
The rum is then finished for 4 to 6 weeks in Mancino Vecchio vermouth casks made from Italian oak. Time in the sweet vermouth-soaked wood adds a second layer of character to the blend.
The flavour carries hints of cherry and raisins, honey, dark chocolate and vanilla. It is intended to bring something different to cocktails, and it can also be sipped neat.
