Douglas Laing's Rock Island 21 Years Old (70cl, 46.8%)

Rock Island 21 Years Old is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, made from Island malt whiskies including Arran, Jura, Orkney and Islay. It is a limited edition 21 year old, bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle. It is described as maritime, salty and slightly smoky. The nose brings charcoal, rock pools and sea spray, with polished leather, sal ammoniac, damp forest floor, citrus fruit, candy canes and vanilla custard. The palate is peppery and peaty with a hint of iodine and a slightly sour, rubbery note, and the finish is lingering peat and rubber.
