Douglas Laing's Rock Island Sherry Edition Maritime Island Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.8%)

Rock Island Sherry Edition is a blended malt from Douglas Laing, made by marrying single cask single malts distilled on Islay, Arran, Jura and Orkney. All of the whisky was matured in Spanish sherry casks. It is bottled at 46.8% without colouring or chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle. The nose is warm and earthy, moving towards smoked streaky bacon and peated barley. On the palate come warming spices, buttered toast and cured meats over a underlying sweetness. The finish is long, with damp soil, mocha, brown sugar and allspice.
