Douglas Laing's Timorous Beastie (70cl, 46.8%)

Timorous Beastie is a Highland blended malt from the independent bottler Douglas Laing. It is bottled at 46.8% in a 70cl bottle and is traditionally non-chill filtered. The blend is made from four single malts: Dalmore, Glengoyne, Glen Garioch and Blair Athol. The nose starts sweet, then turns floral, with barley and sweet pepper. The palate opens with a peppery lift before sweeter notes of raisins, sugar and vanilla. The finish is sweet, with oak and meringue.
