Scallywag Alberta Edition is a Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky from Douglas Laing, created for the Alberta market as part of the Scallywag's Adventure Series. It was released in 2023 in a run of 480 bottles, and bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration or added colouring.
It is a blend of selected Speyside single malts with a sherried character. The nose has caramel, honey and vanilla with raisins, cinnamon and cloves. The palate is full-bodied, with butterscotch, stewed fruit, dark chocolate and figs. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, cocoa and gentle oak.
