A cask strength blended malt from Douglas Laing, made by marrying aged single cask malts from Campbeltown alone. The name The Gauldrons means 'bay of storms', after a remote spot on Scotland's west coast. This is the second batch, limited to no more than 3,000 bottles. It is bottled at its natural strength of 52.8%, non-chill-filtered and with no colour added. The nose is a sea breeze with a hint of bonfire and manuka honey. A maritime note opens the palate, followed by sweet vanilla and dried oak. The finish is distinctly spicy, with a touch of sea salt, stone fruits and more honey.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
