The Gauldrons is a small-batch blended malt from Douglas Laing & Co., part of the Remarkable Regional Malts collection. It is made by marrying single malts sourced only from Campbeltown, and is bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered.
The nose brings fresh sea air, gentle smoke, Manuka honey and a little dried seaweed. The palate is maritime and slightly salty, with sweet shortbread, dried oak and gristy cereal. The finish is warm and gently smoky, with vanilla, cinnamon and malt.
