Dramfool 47th Release Glenmarvellous #2 10 Year Old (2011-2021) (70cl, 57.6%)

This is the 47th release from Dramfool, a 10 year old single cask Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at a cask strength of 57.6% ABV. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021, with 178 bottles filled. The whisky spent its first six years in a bourbon hogshead and the last four in a fresh Port barrique. It is the first Port-matured whisky Dramfool has bottled. The tasting notes describe a rubescent red colour, with roasted almond, toasted malt and plump red grapes on the nose, and a finish where Port fruit and viscosity sit alongside oak tannins.
