Duncan Taylor Dalmore 17 Year Old 1990 (55.5%)

A single malt from Dalmore, bottled by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor at 17 years old and a natural cask strength of 55.5%. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2007, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The colour is amber-gold. The nose offers ripe fruit, dark caramel, toasted nuts and a little dark chocolate, with dried orange peel and spiced oak behind. On the palate come prunes, toffee, baked apple and a gentle sherry sweetness, with cinnamon and clove. The finish is long and full, with dried fruit, dark chocolate and spiced oak.
