Duncan Taylor Single Cask Bunnahabhain 2008 13 Year Old Cask #385511381 (70cl)

This is a single cask Bunnahabhain from the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. The spirit was distilled on Islay in 2008 and matured for 13 years, then bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. It is an unpeated malt with a coastal, maritime character, showing rich maltiness alongside dried fruit, toasted nuts and oak spice. The nose combines sea spray, sweet malt, toasted hazelnuts, dried orchard fruits and vanilla. On the palate come caramelised brown sugar, roasted nuts, baked apple and a salty edge, with peppery oak. The finish is long and warming, with sweet malt, salted caramel and dry oak spice.
