Dunvilles 21 Year Old is an Irish single malt finished in Palo Cortado casks and bottled at 46%. It won Whiskey of the Year at the Irish Whiskey Awards and Best Irish Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards.
The whiskey is full bodied and oily. Lighter fruits give way to stewed fruits, dark stone fruits and overripe plum skins, with dark chocolate and toasted almonds. Warm panettone and bread and butter pudding follow, spiced with ginger and candied orange syrup, alongside figs, dates and a hint of oak, over base notes of sweet tobacco and warming winter spices.
