Eagle Rare 10 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, first introduced in 1975. It is bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle.
The bourbon is distilled twice in copper stills and aged for at least 10 years in new, charred American oak barrels.
The nose combines toffee, orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The palate is rich and dry, with candied almonds, cocoa, oak tannins, vanilla and caramel. The finish is long and dry, with oak, leather and a touch of cinnamon.
