This is a 10 year old Highland single malt from Edradour, a small distillery that still works as a traditional farm distillery. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured entirely in sherry-seasoned casks and is lightly chill-filtered, with natural colour. The spirit is made in some of the smallest copper pot stills in Scotland, and the style is sherried and richly textured.
The nose brings Oloroso sherry, toasted almonds and dried fruit with a little spice. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with spiced Christmas cake, golden syrup, honeyed almonds and soft oak. The finish is long and warming, with gentle spice and nutty sweetness.
