First fill Oloroso butt
This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Edradour, distilled on 7 September 2012 and bottled on 9 July 2025 by Signatory Vintage. It matured in a first fill Oloroso butt and was bottled at 59.2%, giving 564 bottles in 70cl. It marks the distillery's 200th anniversary. Signatory Vintage, whose founder Andrew Symington has directed Edradour since 2002, created a pair of bottlings for the occasion, one for Edradour and one for Ballechin. The nose is rich, with cut hay, straw, rancio, dried apricot, leather and toasted almond. The palate is lively yet creamy, with candied lemon, vanilla, guava and quince. The finish is deep and concentrated, with cocoa, ginger, spices and a touch of menthol.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
