Edradour Caledonia is a 12-year-old Highland single malt, matured entirely in Oloroso sherry casks. The Scottish musician Dougie MacLean selected this edition and named it after his song Caledonia.
It is bottled in small batches at 46% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour.
On the nose, sultanas and figs mix with honey. The palate recalls liquid Christmas cake and toasted almonds, with a touch of orange and spice, and a syrupy texture. A little water brings out the fruit and the Oloroso wood. The finish is gently warming, spicy and dry.
