An 18 year old Highland single malt from Edradour, matured entirely in first-fill Amarone hogsheads. The casks previously held wine from the Dal Forno Romano estate in Valpolicella, Italy, and were being used for whisky for the first time.
It was distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2026 at 46% in a 70cl bottle, a small batch vatted from selected casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose offers ripe black cherries, dark forest berries and spicy oak. The palate is velvety and full, with dark berries, dark chocolate and firm oak spice. The long finish ends dry, with fine tannins and a little pepper.
