This is an 18 year old Edradour, distilled in 2003 and bottled by Whisky Sponge as Edition No.31. It is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 53% ABV.
The whisky matured in a very old refill hogshead that had previously held an older Signatory bottling.
The nose is old-school Highland malt: barley eau de vie with lemon water, hay, mineral oils, soot, boot polish, toolboxes and hessian. The palate is rich and mouth-filling, with malt extract, barley sugars, olive oil, oatcakes, beers and cereals.
