Edradour – 2011-2021 First Fill Sherry Hogshead (70cl)

This Edradour single malt from the Highlands was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2021, after around ten years in the cask. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The cask was a first-fill sherry hogshead, which means it had held sherry before but had not yet been used for whisky. A hogshead holds roughly 250 litres, and a first-fill cask gives up more of its character than a refilled one. This is a single-cask bottling.
