This is a 21-year-old Edradour single malt, distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2021 at a cask strength of 55.8%. It spent its first 13 years in bourbon casks.
It then spent 92 months in hogsheads that had previously held full-bodied, dry Bordeaux red wine. That second period gives the whisky its deep colour and its layered fruit and spice character on the palate.
