Edradour 21 Year Old is a Highland single malt distilled in November 2000 and bottled on 12 October 2022 at a cask strength of 56.5%, in a 70cl bottle. It began in refill ex-bourbon hogsheads and moved in May 2007 into fresh Oloroso sherry butts, where it spent about fifteen years. The two butts gave 1,308 bottles. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose has dry sherry, stone and red fruit, toffee, strawberries, raisins, brown sugar, cinnamon, clove, ginger and sandalwood. On the palate come grapes, plums and figs with red apple, caramel and spice, then coconut and vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with cream, caramel, roasted hazelnuts, dark chocolate, dark wood and a hint of mint.
