Oloroso sherry butt finish
A 21-year-old Highland single malt from Edradour, distilled in 2001 and bottled on 3 July 2023 at a cask strength of 52.1%, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 1,919 bottles, from casks 2413, 2414 and 2504. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The whisky first matured in used ex-bourbon hogsheads, then received a finish in fresh Oloroso sherry butts. Raisins and dates show the sherry, with vanilla, apple and orange alongside. The nose combines fruit cake, dates, chocolate raisins, cocoa, walnut and spicy oak. The palate is full and slightly oily, with juicy raisins, toffee apple, vanilla fudge and Seville orange peel. The finish is long, with cinnamon, dark chocolate and sherried fruit, ending dry with a little oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
