This single cask Edradour was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2025 after 25 years in a first-fill Madeira cask, cask #901. It is bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle and marks the 200th anniversary of the Pitlochry distillery, founded in 1825.
The long maturation let the wine character settle in deeply. Fortified wine casks give fewer tannins, and bring a bright sweetness, citrus fruit and nutty notes to the whisky.
