Edradour – (Ballechin) 2012/2025 12 Year Old 1st Fill Oloroso Butt (70cl, 57.3%)

This is a 12 year old Ballechin, the peated single malt made at the Edradour distillery. It was distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2025 by Signatory Vintage at 57.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt. Ballechin was the second single malt produced at Edradour, created in 2002 by Iain Henderson, who previously ran the Laphroaig distillery for over fifteen years. Peat runs right through it. The aromas and flavours are described as floral, fruity and chocolatey, shaped by the Oloroso cask.
