This is a 12 year old Ballechin, the peated single malt from the Edradour distillery. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025 by Signatory Vintage at 48.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
It matured in a first-fill hogshead that previously held Monbazillac, the sweet wine from south-west France.
Ballechin was the second single malt produced at Edradour. Iain Henderson created it in 2002, having run the Laphroaig distillery for over fifteen years, and it has built a solid reputation among drinkers who like peated whisky.
