This is a small batch Highland single malt from Edradour, the Pitlochry distillery that has been producing since 1825. It spent all twelve years in first fill Burgundy wine hogsheads, casks that previously held Pinot Noir.
The spirit was distilled in August 2013 and bottled in April 2026 at 46% ABV, without chill-filtration and without added colour.
It is described as dark-fruited, with red fruits, dried cherries and a hint of vanilla. A subtle earthiness carries into a long, spicy finish.
