First-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead
This is a single malt from the original Edradour distillery, Edradour No.1, matured in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads. It was distilled in 2020 and bottled in 2026 at six years old and 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle, without colouring or chill-filtration. The anniversary release marks forty years in the whisky trade for Andrew Symington, who began in 1986. Signatory Vintage bottled it, and it comes in a tube. The nose offers raisins, dates, dark cherries, dark sugar syrup and orange peel, with pronounced PX sweetness. The palate is full and intense, with fig syrup, fruit cake, dark chocolate and caramel. The long, warming finish carries dried fruit, cocoa and sweet oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
