First-fill Châteauneuf-du-Pape hogsheads
A Highland single malt from Edradour No. 2, bottled by Signatory Vintage to mark forty years in whisky for Andrew Symington, owner of Edradour and Signatory Vintage. It was distilled in 2018, matured for eight years in first-fill Châteauneuf-du-Pape hogsheads and bottled in 2026 at 57.1% ABV, non-chill-filtered and with natural colour. The nose brings black cherries, ripe plums and dark berries with cocoa, sweet malt and a touch of cinnamon. On the palate it is full and powerful, with bramble jam, stewed plums, dark chocolate, fruitcake spice and nutmeg, and a light tannic dryness from the red wine casks. The finish is long and warming, moving from dark berries and cocoa to peppery notes and light, dry oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
