Egan's 10 Year Old Single Malt (70cl, 47%)

A ten-year-old Irish single malt from P. & H. Egan, matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is distilled from fully malted barley in copper stills, and members of the Egan family select the aged whiskey for bottling. It is bottled at 47%, without chill-filtration or added colour. A creamy, malty character combines with apple, spice and a slight touch of smoke, and oak makes a firm mark on the aftertaste. The nose brings apple, spice and a light hint of smoke. The palate is malty and creamy, with cereal notes and a silky mouthfeel. The finish carries chocolate, malt and honey, with citrus, white blossom, almonds, pepper and smoke, and a strong oak note that lingers.
