ELEMENT Fusion R/1.0 Irish Whiskey (70cl, 43%)

ELEMENT Fusion R/1.0 is a triple-distilled Irish blend of five components: two single grains and three single malts. All of them first matured in ex-bourbon casks. Some were then finished in new American oak, Oloroso sherry casks or casks that previously held stout. It was the first release from New Era Spirits, appearing in the last quarter of 2022 under the ELEMENT brand, which was co-founded in Wexford by Fionn Cox. It is bottled at 43%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The nose offers vanilla, tropical fruit and shortbread. The palate is creamy, with caramel, chocolate and orange peel. The finish is long and gentle, with light creaminess giving way to a subtle malt note.
