Elijah Craig 18 Year Prefire Barrel #3986 1990 (75cl, 45%)

This is Elijah Craig 18 Year Old Prefire, a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill's original Bardstown distillery. Barrel #3986 was distilled on 20 April 1990, and the bourbon is bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 750ml bottle. That date falls six years before the Heaven Hill fire of November 1996, which destroyed the original Bardstown still house. Heaven Hill then moved production to the Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, and the new Bardstown distillery opened in 1999.
