Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch A122 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, released in January 2022. It is aged for a minimum of 12 years in charred American oak.
It was bottled at 120.8 proof (60.4% ABV) straight from the barrel, with no water added and without chill filtration, in a 750ml bottle.
The nose offers dark caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and ripe cherry, with toasted oak, cinnamon and dark chocolate emerging as it opens. The palate is rich, with toffee, dark fruit and baking spice, and the finish is long and warming, with charred oak, cocoa and lingering pepper.
