Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch B522 is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, released in May 2022 and bottled at 121 proof (60.5% ABV). It is aged for a minimum of 12 years.
The bourbon is bottled uncut, with no water added and without chill filtration.
On the nose there are dark caramel, brown sugar, vanilla bean, ripe cherry and toasted oak, with cinnamon, clove and a little dark chocolate emerging later. The palate is silky, with toffee, dark fruit, burnt caramel and baking spice. The finish is medium to long, with charred oak, cocoa and dried fruit.
