Elijah Craig Toasted Rye Whiskey (75cl, 47%)

Elijah Craig Toasted Rye is a Kentucky straight rye from Heaven Hill in Bardstown, bottled at 47% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It starts as fully matured Elijah Craig Straight Rye, made from 51% rye, 35% corn and 14% malted barley. The whiskey is then re-entered at barrel proof into a custom toasted new oak barrel, designed with the Independent Stave Company. A high-temperature toasting cap on the barrel adds a note of smoke and spice to the finish. The nose offers toasted oak, crème brûlée, almond and hazelnut with rye spice beneath. The palate is creamy, with milk chocolate and gentle baking spices. The finish is soft and warm, with lingering spice and a little smoke.
