This is an eight year old Highland single malt from Clynelish, bottled by Elixir Distillers in 2020 as Parcel No. 2 in its Reserve Casks series, part of The Single Malts of Scotland range. Five casks were married for it, and it is bottled at 48% without chill filtration or added colour.
It shows the waxy texture and bright fruit that Clynelish is known for in this bottling. Tasting notes point to chocolate-coated honeycomb, apple juice and boiled sweets on the nose. The palate is oily, with linden honey, vanilla custard and buttery puff pastry, and the finish carries cardamom and fenugreek with honeyed malt.
