Elsburn Rivesaltes Wine Casks Batch 1 (70cl, 46%)

This is a limited German single malt from the Harz, produced by the Hercynian Distilling Co. and bottled in 2023 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Batch 1 comprises 1,484 bottles. The whisky matured entirely in casks that previously held Rivesaltes, a fortified sweet wine from the French Pyrenees. It is bottled without colouring and without chill-filtration. The wine casks are said to leave traces of honey, dried fruit and nougat in the whisky.
