This is the 2022 edition of Elsburn The Journey, a German single malt matured in a series of different wine casks. They include European oak casks previously seasoned with wine, and casks that held sherry, port, madeira, marsala, malaga and Bordeaux grand cru.
The varied make-up of the casks gave a balanced, fruity single malt with spicy notes.
