Estancia Raicilla is an unaged agave spirit from the Sierra Occidental mountains of Jalisco, made in the 'raicilla de la sierra' style by maestro raicillero Alfredo Salvatierra at La Estancia de Landeros. It is bottled at 45% ABV.
It is distilled from 100% Agave Maximiliana. The agave is cooked in adobe ovens, fermented in a mix of oak vats and clay amphorae, then double-distilled in copper and steel pot stills.
The nose is roasted agave, green herbs, citrus zest and a light saline note, with floral tones and black pepper. The palate is textured and mineral, with green tea, ripe stone fruit and cracked pepper. The finish is clean and slightly saline, with herbal notes and gentle warming spice.
