Etna DOC Rosso - Fumu - Barone Montalto

An Etna DOC Rosso from Barone Montalto, made mainly from Nerello Mascalese on the volcanic slopes of Etna in Sicily. Ageing in barriques gives structure and softness, highlighting silky and balanced tannins. In the glass it shows a bright ruby red colour, while the nose opens with cherry, delicate spices and mineral notes typical of this altitude. On the palate it is harmonious and persistent, with freshness that invites another sip and a slightly sapid finish. It is ideal with grilled red meats, roasts and aged cheeses.
