Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is a bourbon made by Heaven Hill Distillery from a mash of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. The Bottled-in-Bond label means the whiskey comes from a single distillery, has aged for at least four years in a US government-supervised warehouse and is bottled at 100 proof, which is the 50% ABV of this bottle. The brand is named after Evan Williams, who built the first commercial distillery in Kentucky in 1783. The nose is caramel, vanilla, oak and barley. On the palate come citrus, vanilla and black pepper, and the finish is warm, long and dry.
