Ezra Brooks 7 Year Old 2017 Old Ezra Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey (70cl, 57%)

Old Ezra Single Barrel is a straight rye whiskey from the Ezra Brooks range, made by Lux Row Distillers in Kentucky. It is bottled from one individual cask at a cask strength of 57%, in a 70cl bottle. The mash bill is 51% rye, 45% corn and 4% malted barley. The whiskey was barrelled on 9 September 2017 and matured for nearly eight years in virgin American oak. The nose brings nougat, coconut, vanilla and oak, with a hint of fruit gums. On the palate, warm spices lead to toasted coconut and salted peanuts, held together by soft vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with gentle charred wood.
